It is for plant operators who require practical and theory-based training and assessment to operate or work with an agricultural tractor as part of their daily duties on-site.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              This training is essential for workers to operate an agricultural tractor safely. Delegates will review legal requirements, ensure safety compliance, and understand procedures, appropriate documentation and classifications.

The course content includes:

  • Manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s handbook, additional information sources and all relevant regulations and legislation

  • All pre-use machine checks on an agricultural tractor

  • Travelling over rough, undulating ground, substantial inclines

  • Surface levelling with mounted and trailed implements

  • Manoeuvring in confined spaces with trailed and mounted implements

  • Attaching and setting trailed implements

  • Attaching and setting mounted implements

  • Attaching and setting power take-off drives

  • All actions to take for hazards, underground and overhead services

  • Operating a mounted or power-driven implement

  • Removing and storing trailed and mounted implements

  • Carrying out shut down and securing procedures

  • Loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting
